Blogger Watch: Cassell

Monday, September 6th, 2010

BirdieLou’s weblog is another you should check out in the countdown to more SonicErotica. Cassell’s erotic poetry ignites your senses of touch and smell. We think it translates well to the Sonic-sphere. We will have two erotic vignettes featuring Cassell’s writing coming up in the early weeks of SonicErotica.
A small sample; “inside, I am so slick/ like horse spit or snail trails/ nothing like girls.”
Visit the blog for some temporary titilation in our absence. But beware, the gritty, queer words on this blog kick you in the pants like your favourite pair of black boots. Read with care!

Blogger Watch: Discerning Dom

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Another blogger who has leant us their words to bring to sonic life is Discerning Dom. His blog explores the relations between sex and power, and obviously it is he who enjoys exerting that power. He writes in such away that it only takes a few lines before that tickle of lust hits you somewhere below the belt. His words will have you wanting to either be him, or submit to him. Just be sure you don’t come before he gives you permission.

Blogger Watch: Vanilla Impaired

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

I’ll leak another snippet of insider info to you today: The very first blogger whose words have been fashioned into SonicErotica for your augasmic pleasure is Vanilla Impaired.
Her name might give you some insight what she’s into, or at least what she isn’t into.
“she discovered she’s impaired, there’s something missing and it’s flavour ain’t vanilla.”
Very soon we’ll be listening to her tale of a late night doorstep encounter. But I won’t tell you which story - I’ve said enough already!

Throbbing love muscles and other clues

Monday, July 19th, 2010

Sex bloggers, Em & Lo, have helped us out by pinpointing the Top 10 Signs You’re Reading Bad Erotica. Ahhh…a topic we have been rather familiar with at Sonic Erotica as we’ve trawled through our submissions and the wider Internet looking for great erotic writing to feature in our shiny new content. You won’t find any “rods of steel” at Sonic Erotica.
I especially like number 7:

You note excessive use of fire imagery, as in: “The candles flickered and the fireplace roared as he stoked the flames of her burning desire with his fireman’s pole until she was so hot and bothered, the fire alarm rang and the sprinklers busted a nut all over their smoldering lust.”

Get your voting skates on, it’s time to pick your favourite Sex Blogger in DirtySpoke’s 2006 Sex Blog Awards. Some old favourites have made it to the list of nominees, and you can be sure we’ll be brushing up on the new faces before we make with the clicky-click!

How to…

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

Sexerati has been providing some scintillating reading lately with a raft of useful “How-to’s”, including a serialised look at setting up your own sex blog.

The discussion roams far and wide, and posits the obvious but under-discussed idea that blogging about sex colours your future experiences by knowing that you’ll share them. This series looks set to be an interesting read over the next few months.

“Though some feel there’s only so much to be said of sex, I’m of the belief that we can never really get to the truth of sex as a culture unless we work it out together.”

Blogger Watch: Always Aroused Girl

Friday, December 22nd, 2006

So you thought it was just you who spoke to your genitals? Naaaaaaah. AlwaysArousedGirl hosts some spanking original fiction in her blog that toes the delicious line between fantasy and reality. Upbeat, positive and charming, AAG can even make maths sexy as she recalls the orgasms she’s had in a single marathon.

Blogger Watch: Remittance Girl

Monday, December 18th, 2006

Whenever we’re in need of a quickie, we head on over to tellyoursexstory for some instant inspiration. This week’s fave was The Souvenir by Remittance Girl, who can also be found blogging away on her own site at remittancegirl.com.

Holiday reading

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

We’ve found you some more fun holiday reading to catch up on while you sip your xmas martinis and ponder whether Santa has decided you’ve been naughty or nice. For classic literature fans, maye you’d like to sink your teeth into Sacher-Masoch’s classic Venus in Furs, available as an e-text over at Project Gutenberg.org

If you’ve been looking for a way to end annoying conversations with telemarketers calls or pranksters, take a leaf out of RadicalVixen’s book.

On the raw end of the scale, over at Sexetaria Miss Syl candidly recounts her “ground zero” sexual assault survival story & encourages her readers towards discussion of what these events mean. Syl’s writing is urgent, honest and deeply moving.
