The Fine Art of Dirty Talk

[31 Jan 2012 | No Comment]

Dirty talk: it promises naughty good times, but sometimes it can be a little tricky to know exactly where to start. Let Amy Jo Goddard guide you beyond your shyness into a world of fun with filthy words at this event presented by the Lesbian Sex Mafia.

Have a lover who wishes you would, but you sometimes clam up or struggle with obstacles to saying those sweet nasty things? Wish you could open the door to dirty words without shame? This workshop will be a fun exploration of dirty talk, why we like it, what we want from it and how to incorporate it with partners and make our scenes hotter. There is no one size fits all, so you’ll explore and practice what feels good for you, how to find common ground with your partners, and walk away with a bigger dirty vocabulary. Attendees can decide how much to participate but it will be guaranteed fun! C’mon’ say it like you mean it!

Erotic Writing Calls For Submissions

[29 Nov 2011 | No Comment]

We’ve come across a couple of writing opportunities worth sharing with the smut-artists among us.

Online magazine, Every Night Erotica publishes a sexy short story daily and are looking for submissions of your sexy fantasies within a limit of 2000 words.

All genres of erotica will be accepted and while we’re well aware that reality stimulates creativity we are only looking for your fictional tales. Also please note that Every Night Erotica will only accept consensual sex stories and is meant for a mature audience, 18years+.

This is a great promotional opportunity for your blog or website and Every Night Erotica also offers a token amount of compensation at this stage. Visit the website for further guidelines and to submit your erotic tales.

Laura Antoniou, author of the well known Marketplace series of erotic novels is inviting submissions to various anthologies she has in the works. Laura began her writing career in the 1980?s back when she edited the groundbreaking “Leatherwomen” anthologies.

It’s twenty years since I started to collect stories for the original Leatherwomen, and anthologies have refused to die. With the explosion of e-book publishers of erotica, there has never been a better time to get your stories out into the world – and after twenty years, I’m eager to collect all sorts of delicious smut. From sweet and romantic to edgy and kinky, show me what you’ve got!

She’s looking for stories between 3000-7000 words long, which contain sex. “Sex is defined as any activity that increases the potential for orgasm; so by all means do not limit yourself there.” The four anthologies are open to various kinks, couplings or groupings, orientations and gender expressions.

The Best of Leatherwomen: Deadline – Dec 31, 2011
Leatherwomen 2012 – Still Kicking: Deadline – January 31, 2012
Hot Butches/Hot Femmes: Deadline – December 31, 2011
No Safewords – A Marketplace Collection: Deadline – February 28, 2012

For detailed submission guidelines and requirements please visit Laura’s website.

Top 100 Sex Bloggers

[24 Nov 2011 | No Comment]

Rori of Between My Sheets has compiled her fourth annual list of her top 100 sex bloggers. This list is of her own personal favorites, based on community nominations. A few of the writers featured on Sonic Erotica have made it in there, including our current guest poster Lady Grinning Soul – and regularly featured Guy New York took out position number one! I think she does well to limit it to just 100! Now I’ve got hours of reading ahead of me with plenty of unfamiliar blogs to discover.

Your Voice On Sonic Erotica

[17 Nov 2011 | No Comment]

As I recently announced on the Erotic Awakening podcast, we are seeking answers from our listeners, to compile into a special Sonic Erotica episode. This is your chance to be heard on Sonic Erotica.

The question we have for you is: What gives you your most powerful orgasms? Is it something in particular that your lover does, is it your personal kink, a way of being touched or just pure anticipation? What do you know will put you into mind blowing orgasm territory?

Make sure you have a nice quiet space and record an answer using your computer or your cell phone to make a digital file in wav or mp3 format. Then get in touch using the contact form for instructions on how to send us the audio. Answers can be as short as one or two sentences or as long as 3 minutes.

We’ll combine your answers into another piece similar to “What’s Your Fantasy?” and “It Feels Like…”

The Fellatio Monologues

[13 Nov 2011 | No Comment]

On until Saturday Nov 19th in Melbourne is ‘The Fellatio Monologues’ a performance about love, life and intimacy. The five monologues are written and directed by Scott Majors and performed by Australian cast members from well-known local television shows.

‘The Fellatio Monologues’ explores the differences between men and woman and also takes a look at how sometimes we are not always thinking about the job at hand. Are we always honest with ourselves, and those around us? Can an intimate shared moment be the catalyst for a break-up or a reconciliation? And what is actually going through your head on a one-night stand? Is it really the act you are performing?

Still not convinced? Read Claire Pickering’s review.

While you could be forgiven for thinking this show is essentially about penis jokes, Major’s aim in writing this piece is to address a more serious side of relationships. The bonus to this production is that it not only gives you permission to laugh out loud, but also to consider those awkward sexual issues within the relative anonymity and safety of your comfortable theatre seat.
Most interesting for me was how the audience unwittingly revealed their experiences and secrets in the moments when they laughed. In particular, one gentleman behind me gave a fascinating insight into his own life journey and sexual adventures. You could almost hear the collective audience snigger of: ‘Oh, you’ve done that too!’

Remaining shows:
Tues Nov 15 – Sat Nov 19
8pm
Revolt Melbourne
12 Elizabeth Street Kensington VIC

Another sexy Melbourne event this week is ‘Erotic Fan Fiction’, live readings at the Wheeler Centre

Fantasy Pride

[8 Nov 2011 | One Comment]

Did you catch Remittance Girl’s announcement of Fantasy Pride Day? It’s all about removing the shame that may come with certain fantasies. Fantasies can take us some places that we would never or could never go in reality. She’s particularly focusing on fantasies that include non-consent. At the moment, we don’t use non-consensual erotic fiction at Sonic Erotica. It’s certainly controversial, and we remain wary of alienating any listeners, but we recognize that it is a totally valid and fairly pervasive fantasy. And there’s no appealing to every listener with every story we feature anyway, so it may well be considered in the future. I’m sure that there are some of us here in the office who will admit that non-consent has entered our erotic imaginations at some point.

As RG writes in another post that is well worth reading, “The inference, the suggestion, the assumption is that people who have rape fantasies or write erotic fiction which includes non-con are in any way complacent about actual rape, or seem to feel it is okay, or are ambivalent about it.” But there is a distinct difference between rape or non-con play/fantasy and the real thing.

For Fantasy Pride Day, Remittance Girl set the challenge of sharing an erotic fantasy that comes from your own sexual imagination, which contains some element of non-consent. If it’s of interest to you, head to Remittance Girl’s post to read the responses of her readers, or add a story of your own.

Blogger Watch: Aisling Weaver & Missy Starrk

[13 Oct 2011 | No Comment]

We are very excited to feature two authors from the erotic/sex blogosphere this month.

Aisling Weaver has been on our radar for a while, but the piece of her writing that appears this month came to us through a #twitterotica competition we ran earlier this year. We challenged tweeters to give us some quality smut in ten tweets or less, and Aisling came through with a winning entry that gets hot and heavy from the very first sentence. Here’s an excerpt of “Lust’s Claim”:

Up against a wall she pinned me.
“You’re mine tonight.” Her breath, hot, humid, slid along my cheek. My skirt retreated before her confident hands, baring my ass to the cold air.
“I will mark you,” she promised, nails dragging lightly over the swell of flesh.
“I will make you beg,” she continued and I mewled with want. My cunt plumped with blood. I craved the deep fuck I knew she could give me. She slipped one finger into me, just one, and I shook.

Aisling’s erotic writing touches on themes such as BDSM, threesomes, bondage, bloodplay, submission and dominance. She also tweets regularly, podcasts and has published multiple erotic story compilations. I’m sure there will be more of her to come on Sonic Erotica.

Missy Starrk is also an avid tweeter. When we discovered her blog post titled, “My Turn” we knew it would make a great recording. After much anticipation, we found just the right voice talent in Angela, to really bring this fantasy to aural life. It’s great to have a little femdom on the site – and I know Missy was pleased with the result, as she tweeted that she feels like a “proud perverted parent.”

He’ll be here in a few hours and the room is ready. But I’m not. I’ve used my fingers to penetrate him before, but never something else. It’s next to the bed; I purchased it just today. It’s not flashy but it’ll work. Whenever I’ve fingered him before his cock gets huge – it’s delicious. Tonight I will fuck him. I will fill him like he has filled me.
I shower and soap my body, fingers tracing my openings. I’m slick from the soap and my own self-made wet. My nipples become pointy and hard. I will fuck him tonight.

Jane’s guide calls Missy’s blog, “An abstract portrait of lust, yearning, and exploration.” She frankly discusses many aspects of her sex life which may sway into kink territory. Oh, and if you like sex toy reviews she’s very open with her recommendations.

Blogger Watch: The Sex Experiment

[29 Sep 2011 | No Comment]

I’ve just recently discovered this website called The Sex Experiment. The writer introduces the website by explaining that he recently discovered surprising sexual fantasies in his wife’s diary. Given that he feels that their sex life is slipping away from their old lustful habits, he comes up with an intriguing idea. He sends her an anonymous email from a secret admirer proposing a series of sexual challenges to fulfill.

I would like to send you an e-mail occasionally with a sexual challenge – a proposal of some little sexual risk you might not otherwise take. What would excite me more than anything is if you would occasionally write back telling me how the experiment went.

When she writes back simply, “Why not,” the challenges begin. He writes to her and she replies in descriptive detail. Follow along as this secret email relationship reveals more and more to this husband about his own wife. I’m only a few posts in and I’m hooked! I strongly suggest you head to the first entry and start reading.
Here is the first experiment he sends to her as “secret admirer”:

Dear X,

This is today’s experiment. Today you will not wear panties or a bra. You will wear a blouse open at the collar, and you will not wear stockings. If your husband occasionally sees you dressing, he must not see you today. Let the skirt be long enough to make you feel comfortable, but it should not go past the knee. This is imperative. As you slide it up over your hips, feel the nakedness of your thighs, feel your ass naked against the fabric of the skirt. Then, if you can, sit before a mirror. Spread your legs until you can see your pussy, but do not touch. You should simply understand how easy it would be to expose you. Then the blouse. Feel your breasts as you button it, and then, the sensation of your nipples against the fabric. Will it be cotton? Or silk? I wish you would tell me. And then I will insist: high heels today, but again, not so high as to make you feel uncomfortable. I want you to feel sexy, to feel it in your legs, your groin, your hips, your chest, the power you have over a man.

You will walk down the street, or sit at a table working somewhere, and they will be watching you. You are too innocent. How is it that you never seem to notice them all? So today, feeling your body more exposed than you typically might dare, imagine what they would do if they knew that underneath you are wearing nothing. Imagine the thoughts in their minds, imagine their cocks growing tight in their pants at the thought of running a hand up your thigh, or brushing a hand against your blouse. Can they see down your blouse? Look at their cocks as you walk down the street. I promise you will see the bulge in their pants. They will be looking up the line of your legs, and maybe you will be growing slightly wet at the thought of them seeing more. Feel your nakedness, feel the cool air between your legs, and imagine how close you are to being completely naked. Will you reveal more than is wise as you sit, or turn, or bend over? Imagine if he came close. Imagine whispering the truth of today in his ear.

This is today’s challenge. If you are willing, I would be grateful if you would write an e-mail in response describing the results. Good luck.

Admiringly,

X

The writer still has no idea if she knows that he is the admirer, no idea what her responses will be, and no idea where this will go.
